Visitors Documentation Structure

Clean Documentation That Actually Breathes

This is a docs page from Visitors (visitors.now) and it nails the fundamentals. The left sidebar uses a clear hierarchy with light gray section headers like "Getting started" and "Installation" separated from actual page links. The active state on "Subdomain tracking" gets a subtle blue dot indicator. Simple but effective.

Typography Does the Heavy Lifting

Big bold heading up top, then a soft gray callout box immediately sets context about default behavior. The body text is well-spaced and readable. Code snippets like `YOUR_TOKEN` and `*.example.com` use that classic monospace-in-a-pill treatment with a light background. The inline code never feels cluttered.

That Embedded UI Screenshot Though

What stands out is the actual product screenshot showing the "Allowed hostnames" config panel. It's dropped right into the docs with generous padding and a light border. Feels real and builds trust. The "On this page" mini-nav anchored top-right is a small touch that helps orientation on longer pages. Overall this is restrained, functional, and surprisingly warm for a documentation layout.
