We wanted to let you know about some important changes we’ve made to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. These changes will come into effect the next time you use Hotjar, or on February 10, 2021 (30 days from the date of this email), whichever comes first.

Here’s a high-level overview of some of the improvements we've made:

• Our Terms of Service have been updated to include elements of our Data Processing Agreement, clearly outlining our mutual privacy obligations. We’ve also streamlined them to make them much clearer and easier to read.
  
  
• Our Acceptable Use Policy now forms part of our Terms of Service, clearly explaining how our service is intended to be used.
  
  
• Our Privacy Policy has been revamped to make it more digestible, easier to read, and to align it with Hotjar’s future growth plans.
